Are you going to attend any of the holiday performances of the St. Louis Symphony or at Powell Hall? I'm looking forward to Robert Ray's Gospel Christmas as well as the Charlie Chaplin movie with the Symphony and New Years Night.
If you aren't able to go to the symphony in St. Louis, are you attending special holiday music performances in your city? if so, what? why?

Hi bgerig! There are holiday music performances here in our local area and it would be really great if I could be able to watch. However, the scheduled events coincide to some of the important functions my husband has to attend and as a dutiful wife, I have to attend those functions with him. Nevertheless, that is alright because I really love supporting my husband in all the important events he has. Just my thoughts. Take care and i hope you will have a great time watching the symphonies. Have a Merry Christmas! :)

We just had our Christmas Concert last night. I was in the choir, I am one of the First Sopranos, and even though the lead singer was the only one allowed to sing the descant, I managed to get a couple of phrases in. I would have gotten in more, but apparently the father of the choir master got wind of it, so he played Hark the Herald Angels Sing very loudly before we sung our piece that included a descant rendering of one of the verses. After the singing, we had a cakes, cookies, squares, and drinks and even though the Church was a no nut policy, due to some with nut allergies in the congregation, there were a few almond squares.

Actually we have nothing planned as far as the symphony or any other holiday music performances. We aren't much interested in these types of things. We have house parties and plans with family and that's about as far as we get.
I come from a musical background and do love music but my husband is not one to go listen to music unless it's in a bar...lol

I'm not.
There's not many things going on which I can walk to without getting tired and possible seeming rude while there. some local school events open to the public but I'm not greatly into going, unless someone in my family is in them or a friend etc. I wished I could go to a festive panto.

Hi bgerig.
I will miss that show in your country, bgerig. Because I live in Malaysia. But I can jolly my holiday for Christmas at my place, where there will be so many events in day and night time that has been well arranged by Kuala Lumpur City Hall. A lot of it and managed by private event management.
I've received an e-mail from 'Hard Rock Cafe' Kuala Lumpur or HRCKL campaigning their offerings many events for this Christmas Day. And no reason for me and my family to say 'no' for their nice events.
And another big places here, offering their respective 'Christmas Day Events' are Sunway Pyramid (www.sunway.com.my/pyramid) and Genting Highland (www.genting.com.my).
It is just the money that concern, Christmas celebration events are all ready with their respective offerings.
Happy Postings and Earnings, bgerig.
HAPPY DAPPY.
