Hey all! Well, i'm a little over 8 months pregnant now, due to give birth in about 1 month. Was just wondering if any of you have some last minute advice on ..anything..actually..from the actual birth, to signs you're going into labour, to breastfeeding..anything really! Thx!!

Have help waiting when you get home. Youy will be shocked at how fast American mothers are tossed out of the hospital door and you will still be exhausted from labor. The very best advice I ever got was to sleep when the baby sleeps. Don't worry about cleaning the house -- just worry about recovering from giving birth and keeping the baby fed and changed and bathed, etc. Plus all the dang pediatrician visits! You've got too much to do being a Mom to be anything else.

"American mothers are tossed out of the hospital door and you will still be exhausted from labor" My friend gave birth naturally and was in the hospital less than 24 hours. My sister had a c-section and was in the hospital 3 days. That's not enough time for anything. But the insurance companies are the ones being forced to pay for the stays, so I can see that they want to save money. Keeps premiums low.

well, when i went into labour, i kept on walking and moving when contractions came. it helps with the pain. i gave birth in a birthing bath. it was amazing. most of the pain was gone. no tearing or cuts. gyne said it was due to the freedom of movement in the water. and you and the baby are clean after birth.
