As of currently Dwight Howard is pulling down rebounds and is jumping over people like Wilt Chamberlain. His Vertical is easily the best at the center position. Players don't stand a chance as he puts the ball in the basket with ease. This player has taken shaqs place as the best center in the nba.

IF, and this is a BIG IF, the Magic make it to the Finals players other than Dwight Howard will have to step up. It is possible after all, they split the season series with the Celtics. However, the Magic can not win on the road. The only thing I would like to see from Howard, and the Magic is more consistency. I think that will come with more time. Arroyo has to step up as more of a playmaker for the team. They need a Chris Paul type PG. Howard is a beast. Howard is the future now, or maybe next season. Howard is more of a back to the rim, and above the rim from the paint player than Amare. The two have different games so its difficult to compare the two. Amare is a beast as well, but different in that the Suns offense doesn't really call for post player. Now, that they have Shaq they have one anyways, but posting up takes away from their game. Amare is a above the rim slasher with a jumper like Garnett. I would also like to say that Amare is more consistent than Howard, but plays on a better squad.

i also believe that dwight howard is currenltly the best center in teh league now. he has taken the throne from shaq. the difference between shaq and dwight is that shaq use pure power to score, defend and rebound while dwight uses his athleticism and also power to score defend and collect rebounds. dwight is the reason why the orlando magic is having one of their best season. dwight is playing on a mvp caliber now. i wil not be surprise if the magic goes through the finals.
