do you know a firefighter

i know alot of firefighters now. i just joined summit 20. i am a firefighter now. i see all these people put there life on hold for our people. 90 percent of them are all call 24/7. they dont go out and have fun cause they sit and wait for that call, then you have to think its dangerous them going into those homes and to try to save material that can be replaced but their lives cant but that dont stop them,what about the weather we stay home dont drive but firefighter and emts cops they do they risk there lives for our people. i think fire fighters dont get enough credit and we need to start. do you think i am right? how can we show we appriatiate went they do for us. i dont mean me either i just started 3 days ago.

Well you might say that I do, I was a volunteer firefighter for 9 years, and I now work for the forestry service as a fire patrolman. I've always been into wildland firefighting, although I did assist with structure fires when I was with the volunteer dept. I was the only female on the dept. Just wondering what is the summit 20?

My dad was a fireman for a number of years for the local volunteer department, but quit due to his becoming a police officer.
I also dated a few firemen as well. So yes, I know a lot of firemen.

Wow really good point one of my best friends is a volunteer and he don't get much credit and he is only 17. I am going to take my course so that while i am at boarding school i can do something to help people. I think that it is a great thing i and i cant wait to take the course. I like helping people also its a good experience for me and a lot of people should try it.
