The Perfect Home

It will be awhile before we can buy a house. We are fine with that. We currently have a nice apartment. It lacks a few things we miss from our last apartment. We have no garage and therefore no place to put my husbands shop, which he really wants to set up to make things in. We also have a really tiny hard to use kitchen. There is no counter space, few cupboards, and old appliances. Our last apartment had a real kitchen, with new appliances (a dishwasher that washed and a self cleaning oven), and great space! So, I was driving by and I found an apartment complex I had seen on the internet. They have garages and huge floor plans (1400 sq ft and up). I want one! I found three of their five floor plans wonderful. We would have space for a nice office and a real kitchen complete with adequate cupboards and counters. Additionally we wouldn't be giving up the pool...which we really love. What's your perfect home right now?

Right now I'm in no mood to be picky lol...living with in laws is unpleasant so I'd take just about anything to get out of here! But that aside my perfect home would be a simple two story. I would like lots of bedrooms and at least two bathrooms and that might not seem very simple I just mean that it doesn't need to be fancy with brand new everything and a perfectly manicured lawn. A garage would be really nice and I'd love to have a basement and an attic. Just a b asic country home I guess.

I totally understand. My mom lives with us and I feel this way most of the time. We live in Texas now and there are no basements! and few garages too.

My perfect home is the one we own. We've lived here 34 yrs. and just love it. Since our kids are married and gone we have more space to store my crafts and my husband's softball equipment. We each have a bedroom for our "stuff." Years ago I had to store my crafts in the garage on shelves but now they are kept in the house. Our house is pretty simple but very cozy. My husband would like to move to a condo but I'm not ready for that sort of life yet. I'm content living in the midwest in this house. Sounds like you know what you want. Good luck if you decide to move.

I doubt we will be able to move any time soon. We just don't have enough money. Ah, but such as life. I think that condo living is probably similar to apartment living which I enjoy. We have amenities without having to take care of them. We have a pool, but we don't clean it. We have a tennis court and picnic areas and the whole nine yards. Maybe in a couple of years we can move.

We are currently in the market for a new home. Our kids are out of school now so we don't need to stay in this neighborhood or area. We moved here for the school district so now want to get out in the country. I'm looking for at least two acres with a nice size home. I have to have room for all the kids to come home for weekend visits and grandkids in the summer :) So far, we haven't found the perfect house yet. The top choice right now is 5 acres with a mobile home on it. We would live in the mobile home while building but wouldn't be able to start building right away. Still thinking on this one, but it is looking good.

Owing it - no mortgage would make any home perfect for me :) It would make it so much better if I it had enough bedrooms for all of us - 4 would do - space and lots of storage space. Ah, and if it wasn't asking for too much, please no box house, I hate feeling like I"m inside a box, I like open areas or else I feel claustrophobic :)
