For some who have been following the threads of my discussions, I'd like to share my feelings today.Remember the post about my maid.Today I confronted her. I made my rules in the house and one by one told her in a matter of fact way.She listened and today what an amazing effort she is making. She communicates well and ask me for confirmation of my instructions on how to do things. And we squared out too that I will be from this time on taking care of my baby unless I ask her assistance or to be relieved. She cooks food with my supervision and I have meals that are no longer served-cold.She also volunteered packing things in my house that needs to be shipped in anticipation for my move out to my new home.
I felt so happy and excited that finally she came out from her old self. The one thing that helped was our heart to heart talk.I think the honesty and openess of each other made a lot of difference. So, I'd say, this is one precious moment feeling when all efforts have made and it is not wasted. It is infact very satisfying and I am glad I gave my maid a chance to change.
How 'bout you dear friends, any story similar to mine?

I know it must have been hard for you to have that discussion with her. I know I am not the confrontational type and would have had my stomach turning in broaching such a subject. But good on you for doing it! At least you don't have to go looking for another maid. That is great. You have shown great strength and conviction. I hope your maid keeps on with the new her. Good luck!

If I would have the the luxury to screen my maid, I would have done it.It was a long story and I am tied up with my business, a sick sister and doing things on my own.
As she is referred by may sister's maid I had presumed she's efficient.Too late to regret now.I have to deal with the situation.
Thanks for your response.
