what is the best advice your mother gave you

my mother always gave advice sometimes we likemit sometimes we dont but we still remember any way. the best i got was always trust your gut and always treat people how you want to be treated and you will always be treated that way too. what is the it that you remember your mom telling you.

My mom once told me that "God closes doors and he opens huge gates". This way she help me not to get disappointed since there will always be something out there better and bigger!

My mom told me to never say anything when I was so mad that I couldn't take it back. I think that's saved my butt alot. I know in the heat of the moment I've wanted to say some really mean things to my husband but just remembering that and walking away has defused alot of problems.

Never trust a man that is always clean shaven or a woman that always carries a handbag. Presumably applies with sexes reversed.
