I am talking about people and their actions here.I have noticed that when people mess up and do the wrong thing ,they often put the blame on others, instead of taking the blame.I have talked with people that are in crisis and when you ask "why" they chose to do what they did? they often say I did it because he/she did it first, or i did it because they said this or that, and to me that is an excuse for doing the wrong thing.Do you take responsibility for your own actions? or do you blame others for your actions?

I always say the "Devil made me do it". Hehe, Do you remember back in the 60's and early 70's when everyone was saying that. I do try to take responsibility for my own actions. I also try not to say anything that I won't admit to saying. We have all had times when we have opened our big mouths and inserted a big foot and wished we had kept our mouths shut. I guess you learn the hard way.

Don't you? haha

Oh my, I so hear what you are saying. The thing I also find with these people is that they can be very spiteful and vindictive. I've even seen a discussion with someone saying they believe in payback and when they get to payback someone they feel good about it. These people will also lie to avoid taking responsiblity. I don't have a problem admitting if I stuff up. I'm human and I'll wear my mistakes and if it comes back to bite me, so be it. I find that my conscience is clear.

I see no pleasure in paying anyone back. When i was a child i would do this at times because you know how children are, they do not think in the long term of things, and when i would do this i felt very bad afterwards, so i try never to do pau backes i find no pleasure in it at all, only sorrow for my actions. Now that i am adult i try to take full responsibility for my actions, and never blame others for what i do.I also like for my conscience to be clear.

In spite of my very human faults, being able to take reponsibility for my mistakes is one of the healthiest things about me. Your attitude too is very healthy. Brightest blessings. :)

very proudly i say yeah i'm a responsible person . it is advantageous as when u take responsibility people stop blaming u as u already accepting it. then sometimes people even support u and u also learn unconsciously or consciously or both.and ultimately this makes u abetter person.

I do take responsibility for my actions. Regardless of the cause behind the choices I make, I am the one that makes them, and I am the one that has to deal with any resulting consequences. That doesn't mean that I don't sometimes curse the cause behind the choice, but its my choice. It means that I tend to do more thinking before acting. Being accountable is the one thing I hope I can teach my children.

Thats wonderful, i can tell that you are wise and smart, and that is good.So many people these days fail to do that. When we do make wrong choices i agree we think twice about making the wrong one next time.I have had to say i was wrong many times and it taught me a good lesson.I try and think real hard before i speak and do things these days....Thank you for your response. And welcome to Mylot.
