How to avoid Sprink Break partying for my vacation this winter

My husband and I are going to Cuba for a week from Monday March 10th. There are supposedly about a million students on Spring Break during this time (and every week from the second of February to the end of April!) but most of them are in the US. No Americans can travel to Cuba I think so generally we should be okay. Do you know if there is any other way to avoid this? Should we talk to our travel agent or our hotel about it?

Americans are not allowed to go to Cuba I think so perhaps Canadian students will be there instead. I think that you should telephone you hostel and ask them. You could look in a travel guide and check with other hostels in that resort or area of Cuba. Compared to most other Caribbean islands Cuba is large so even if there are many students they will be vacationing in many different resorts in Cuba. I hope that you and your husband will have a fantastic vacation and enjoy lovely weather whilst you are there.

I believe I would bypass the travel agent and go straight to the hotel and ask a few questions. But it sounds like you should be pretty safe, as far as missing the Spring Break crowd there.
