Ever go Dutch?

Do you ever go dutch on dates? If you don't know what I mean, this is the expression we use when each person pays for their own meal. I used to date guys who would be offended if I would even offer to pay, but my current boyfriend will let me pay from time to time. Especially if it is to celebrate something. What about you? Do you mind going dutch? Does your bf, gf or other half mind or prefer it?

when he has has taken you for a date,of course don't fuss and start a fight that could be remembered about insisting to pay and if it happens that you have more money than him, don't date him, there are other guys you are destined to meet, not to be greedy and all,but you do not want to have lots of bills when you have just had a baby.he'll stay at home to look after the child and then you can go to work, unless he forgot he had a lottery ticket that wasn't cashed in......

Well, it sounds like you took this all the way to the next level but in many several steps. Very intuitive of you. Thank you for your very extensive response. Have a great evening!

Hello there, when I started dating my hubby was nearly 10 years ago. I remember the first date he didn’t let me pay, but he took me to a small restaurant, which could be cheaper I assumed. He explained he preferred a quiet place. LOL Indeed, I didn’t really mind. Now we have been married more than 8 years and gradually we go on Dutch on nearly every thing – paying the mortgage; weekly shopping; our daughter’s bill etc. that you can name it.

my wife and i met in Tokyo, Japan where she was working as a nanny and the cost of anything is very expensive and we often went Dutch before we got married.. once we went to Disneywold in Tokyo and she paid for it with the money i had sent her over the four years we dated..small amounts from time to time..but it added up to be enough for our day in Disneyland in Japan.that really impressed me. Dutch treat is what we know do to our friends...unless we celebrate a special ocassion..or they have done us a favor like watched our dog while we was away.

It really depends. Some man let you to pay some don't, but i prefer to pay for myself. Although I guess i will have no more problem liek this , since i am married. :)

when we first started dating, my husband said he has to pay for the 1st few dates, then he would let me pay the tip or if i was taking him out for bday or valentines etc. then i could pay...the more we started dating though, it really didn't matter - we'd take turns, share, etc.
