We had to to out to collect some medication for my partner who has a severe chest infection and the temperature is sub zero. Wouldn't you know, we got a puncture on the way back from the doctors so we had to pull over to the side of the road and change the tyre.
My partner was coughing and wheezing and a car stopped close by, the driver wound down his window and said
"I've paid to my have the pavement dropped so that I can park on my driveway so would you mind moving?"
No please or can I help you or anything.
A couple of minutes later whilst my partner was making the vehicle safe to move and it was
wind, wind, wind, "I do have a legal right of access you know" upwind, upwind, upwind, cos the fellow thought it cold.
We moved and he got onto his precious paid for drive and went into his house and then sat twitching the curtains every now and then until we left.
Happy Christmas to him an' all, the Humbug!

Oh he was definitely watching to see if we were up to no good and quite frankly I reckon we aren't the first and we won't be the last that he upsets, but I could easily have whopped him one.

Yes I know it is a vicious circle, somebody like him is nasty, people react, he gets nastier, but he was lucky I have been so ill or I could really have used a loan of your frying pan.
