I first read the 4 books - The hobbit and the trilogy in 1974. Back then we do ot have much of entertainment and reading was my favorite past time. Now, I had read the 4 books at least 5 times and I have too the ebook version in my PDA and handphone. It's a beautiful story and you just cannot put the book down once you started it.

I have also read the first book of Lord Of the Rings, and havent yet read the following.The first was a good book, the story was good, even thought it wasnt as adventurous as the other 2 were, at least if i can judge by the movies.My plan is to go buy the rest books and read them as well.

I have read the three books, the hobbit, and the silmarillion, and I liked all of these books

I absolutely love Lord of the rings.I've read and reread it and I don't grow tired of it.It's simply fascinating.

It's one of the best I have read.It is legend.

Although, I have not read the entire Lord of the Rings, what I have read has been been so pleasing to me. It is so soothing to read, so relaxing, but there is something else. It has a reflection. A message pertinent today. The darkness in Lord of the Rings is a reflection of something horrible sweeping across the United States of America and the world at large. The book should be a wake up call to those who honor liberty.

I have read all of the three books. It's very interesting as the movie. I suggest you finish reading the rest of the trilogy :)

Lord of the Rings Trilogy of three books and 3 blockbusters are great! I personally like the character Legolas played by Orlanldo Bloom. A pity though that the movies could not accomodate all the contents in the books.
