I confess that I had never heard of this invention until my daughter brought it to my attention a few days ago. It is called the Ped Egg, and the infomercial proclaims that it will get rid of the roughest skin from your heels and feet. My daughter knows that I have had a long-term problem with this, and I went immediately to their site to check it out. I plan to get one sometime soon because my feet are always worse in the winter. They even demonstrated how gentle it is on an orange and a balloon! Do any of you have problems with rough skin on your heels or calluses?

I saw that too. The other day I left the tv on while I was doing some work on the computer late at night and I saw that infomercial. The idea interested me a bit, but not enough to order it.
When you get it give us an idea of how it works and if it works.

I certainly will, arkaf61! I am posting the photo for all to see what it looks like. If it works it will be a step up-no pun intended-from the pumice stone I've been using for years.

I have not heard of this new product but it sounds promising. I am fortunate that I don't have rough skin on my feet and no calluses. I wonder sometimes if it has anything to do with the fact I amost always have shoes on. In the evening I will bounce around the house, in the winter, with wool socks on my feet to keep them warm but that's about as close as it gets for me to be without shoes. Rarely went barefooted as a kid.

Believe me, carolbee, going barefoot has nothing to do with it. I rarely went barefoot as a child and still do not. I only had to get a splinter once to frighten me enough to make me keep my shoes on thereafter.

My grandparents always used to swear by a pumice stone to use on dry skin on your heels and feet, the thought of grinding a stone against my skin filled me with dread! So I opted for a cheese grater one, I call it that because it's like that I got it from the chemist, so approved and it's great for ridding the feet of dry skin, it's exactly the same technique as grating cheese! Mum however swears on a less drastic measure using creams! Hardly macho for a wolf is it putting cream on my bod LOL!

I have used a pumice stone for many years, wolfie, and it's actually not that bad. I would opt for this new product if it will make life a little bit easier.

I saw that infomercial and thought it was a great idea. In the wintertime I get dry skin around my heels and will use a pumice stone occasionally to get rid of the flaky skin. I think the big draw to the ped egg is that the mess you make is contained instead of all over the floor. I have to say the pile of filings they throw away was a little gross but I'm sure it was an exageration to show how much it can actually hold.

Hey, paidreader, who would mind the little mess if the product actually does what it promises?

I have never heard of this either, let me know how it works. I sometimes get callous' and it can be a real problem, especially when I go to dance..

On my own I do worship dance, and have tried a little hip hop and ballet, but I also teach and learn different Israeli folk dancing.. Even though I haven't had a class in about 5 years, I still keep it up and I am glad I did, I am teaching again in Jan..:)

Man my mom and my dad have the worst feet I've ever seen. My sister came at us with the idea of the Ped egg also, I just never looked at how much it costs. I use a pumis stone on my mothers feet and a cream that her feet soak up quick! After her feet soak it up it turns into a powder, I forgot what It's called but I know I found it in the pharmacy and you just reminded me that I have to get some more of that stuff cause winter's coming and I need to fix my feet too!

Our feet take so much punishment, milondali, and it is nice to know that there are products out there to help us deal with the effects.
