What's in a Wreath?

The City of Green Bay put up a Nativity Scene at City Hall and invited non Christian groups to submit symbols of their winder time holidays for display. Circle Sanctuary submitted a Wiccan Wreath in celebration of Yule (Winter Soltice) for the display.
Apparently someone decided that only Christian displays are worthy of Green Bay City Hall. The wreath was found behind some shrubs after a "white male" was seen on a ladder. He fled when police pulled up to investigate.. but left the ladder behind.
The man's plan has basically backfired, now the Green Bay city councel is deciding whether any holiday displays should be allowed, even the nativity scene.
I commend the city councel of Green Bay for opening up the holiday display to everyone who celebrates holidays this winter. I hope they don't over react to this childish act and just put the wreath back up, along with any other holiday symbols submitted.

That is just sad and pathetic and I bet the guy was a "Christian" thinking he was doing a good thing. What is wrong with people? I commend Green Bay, too, but you are right. They will probably take it all down because they can't guarantee another moron won't try the same thing or vandalize something else in the name of their god. That wastes city money and time so...
There always has to be one idiot to ruin thing for everyone. But, then again, even Christian displays aren't safe this time of year. I was walking the kids to school the other day and my son noticed someone stole the baby Jesus from a neighbor's nativity scene. That's just rude. I'm not Christian but even I know that is just wrong. I may not believe in the nativity but that doesn't make it right to steal part of it. But, then again, it was probably one of the little Christian kids in the neighborhood.

Yeah, it probably was a Christian who vandalized the wreath... probably one with a wreath in his own home... He probably has no idea that we get wreaths from the Pagans.
