drunk drivers that are arrested in Winnipeg (Manitoba, Canada)are getting their name put on the local police services website (the local paper refuses to print their names).
the police feel that tv commercials are not working. do you think that this is a good idea? MADD (mothers against drunk driving) is fully FOR it...
what do you think??

I doubt it.
They tried to name and shame people over here and it's just become some sort of "OOo... we must have that".. It's pretty much some's claim to fame and I could rheme with what I think about it. FAME = L...

P.s If that makes a difference, I'll claim the tallest building in nottingham and shout "I was wrong"... Lol

i think that is a great idea.i once watched a show many years ago where the police actually filmed the drunk drivers when they were arrested, and they played the video back to them the next day,it was amazing that these people did not realise how bad their behaviour had been.i think they were that embarrassed,it probably shamed them into not drink driving anymore.

i think that as long as there are consequences for there actions that why should they be punished even more. ya it is wrong for them to drive drunk but give them a jail sentence or revoke there licence why put there name out there and treat them like the child molestors
