I miss my Security Bolster deeply. It was taken away from me when I was 7. One fine morning not too long ago, I woke up realizing my Beloved Bolster was not around. I went to ask around but everyone said they didn't see it. I searched my house for one entire day but could not find it. I cried for one whole week.
It was thrown away by someone in my household. The culprit is still on the loose and I have no idea who. No one admits to it. They only laugh when I bring up this event. =P
I have some very lucky friends who still have their Security Pillow/Bolster/Blanket. Even though it's really old, it does bring back childhood memories.=D
Do you still have your Security Pillow/Bolster/Blanket?
If yes, what is its state now?=D
If no, how was it taken away from you?

LOL.. wat a nice name, security bolster/pillow =P i did have one of those pillows till i was around 8-9 yrs old like that.. BUt how did i lose it in the end, i cant quite remember le except that my mom only tell me that the pillow is very dirty and smelly.. hehe.. Well, i din cry but i was upset as i cant use my fingers to tickle the sides of the pillow to sleep anymore.. As i had spent years moulding the sides of my pillow sharp, so that it can tickle my fingers and i can sleep more soundly.. Then with the new pillow, i have re-mould to sides again and in the end, i give up, just force myself to sleep =P

Yea.. My mother said mine was smelly too. It had the smell of milk, saliva and etc. LOL
I think it was my mommy, granny or uncle who threw it away. But I cannot confirm.
Moulding the sides of the pillow sharp?? Haha.. interesting habit of yours. =P

LOL I still have my pillow. When I was little I would sit on the couch with it sucking my thumb LOL I don't suck my thumb anymore mind you but I still use my pillow. It's a feather pillow and they don't weare out too easily so I use it still.I doubt I will ever give it up. My son(5) and my daughter(17mths) have blankies. I don't take things like that away they will grow out of it when they are ready.

When I was a child I used to have this pillow with me all the time. When I reached puberty I come to sort to some of my friends as my security. When night falls and time to rest, I grab my pillow for comfort but the same pillow as I used to have before. Thanks.

I still have my blanket from when I was a baby. I don't take it out much anymore as I don't want to dirty/ruin it as it's a bit old and worn out around the ages but I do take it out from time to time just to look at it.

No... my mother threw mine when I was in 2nd grade. It was a stuffed toy which was made into a pillow. I was sick and vomited all over my security pillow and had to let them take it away. I couldn't sleep without it for a while and wished I didn't vomit on it. All of my siblings also grew up with their own security pillows but was thrown out too by some reason.
Now, I have a security blanket of some sort and can't get a good night's sleep without it. Even if it gets really warm inside my room, I'd snuggle inside it and I wake up all sweaty.

nope, I do not have them anymore.
Like you, mine was taken from me when I was about 7 as well.
It was because of wear and tear that my teddy bear was thrown away.
I have not had a security item since then.
Guess I also out grew the need for a security comfort.
