Okay, I don't know about anyone else, but when they start putting out Xmas stuff at the end of October and start playing Xmas music at the beginning of November...I start to get a little sick of Christmas! I am so tired of hearing Xmas music! Is anyone else? Does this make me a scrooge?

I"m not sure why, but I don't like Christmas music around the holidays at all. It tends to irritate me. I only like it in the middle of the summer. I try and avoid having to hear it, but it hard to do in the stores. I don't think it makes you a scrooge at all.

In the middle of summer? That's funny! Is that like me liking to listen to the Beach Boys in the middle of winter?

I agree! LOL, goodnightmoon...I love your profile pic! That is from the Office right? I absolutely love that show! Anyway, I think they do play it in stores to get you in the mood...you go to meijers to get milk and hear xmas music....oh yea, I have to get a toy for lucy....blah blah blah

Live2Learn, It doesn't make you a scrooge, it just means your senses are being over loaded...lol. I understand your pain because I am the same way. I work in retail and I hate to go to work sometimes because I know that until the end of the night, I will have to hear the same songs over and over and it drives me nuts!! Some Christmas music is ok, but not every day all day over and over again!!! UGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!

Ugh! As much as I love retail and loved working retail....I do not miss the music being played repeatedly. I would go to sleep at night hearing the same songs ;-)

I know what you mean! While I realize the retailers are trying to get people in the mood to spend their hard-earned cash, it's still ridiculous to start the songs of the season so early. It also drives me nuts to see trees up and fully decorated in stores before it's even been Halloween!! Every year they seem to start earlier, and earlier. Why can't they just leave the decorating, and music, until after Thanksgiving, and just say that they are having 'pre-holiday' sales or something like that?! Naw, I don't think it makes us a Scrooge or anything. Although it does seem to say a lot about the power of the almighty dollar in the retailers eyes.

Oh my gosh, I totally agree. I went to meijers at the end of october and couldn't believe that they had trees up already...my son was like..."look mommy, a christmas treat"...aaargh! And the adds and tv commercials...I am so sick of watching TV b/c of it! Every channel you turn to every add in the paper is a reminder that Christmas is a month away and how much money I don't have! Now it is a week away and I am tired of it already. I will be glad when it is over! I am looking forward to family, but forget the presents...I mean, how many do you get as an adult anyway, ya know?

I'm also like that. I'M happy that at my store they only start to put Christmas music at the beginning of december. I know most of the other store they all start at the beginning of November. But Right now I just can,t stand it anymore lol It,s ok to hear sometimes, but everyday ...

I think almost everyone does when it's played non-stop. I haven't experienced much of it this year yet, so I'm still pretty cheerful about it. I feel so sorry for people who work in retail though and have it over and over all day long. I think it should be considered a form of mental cruelty!
