I was just searching some sites when i found one telling about this thing that if Santa clause sets bad example for children. It was like "A health-conscious Santa Claus is refusing to wear a pillow under his suit because he fears it may promote child obesity." Bill Winton, a slim 80-year-old, said if children viewed chubby Father Christmas as a role model they could grow up thinking that it was alright to be overweight. He decided to remove his extra padding after noticing the young children sitting on his knee had become heavier over the years. Mr Winton, who weighs in at just 12st, is currently dispensing gifts and festive greetings at the Westside Plaza shopping center in Edinburgh. He said he was proud of the fact that he had a healthy diet and did not consume sugary drinks. Thats some part from the site still,I'd be less concerned with his weight and more concerned with a child that would look to Santa as a role model. what you people think?

Lets get real. Santa is a metaphor, an image of giving gifts. He is not somebody that kids want emulate as far as looking like him. Kids love Santa but I don't think I ever heard a kid saying that he wanted to grow up and look like Santa.I find it ridiculous, lets give our children more credit than that.

santa is made up so what does it matter if hes overweight if you really think about it he does have alot of good qualities. so i guess this man is trying to say that any person that is overweight is not a good role model. i think that is a the worst thing i have ever thought of there are plenty of people out there that are overweight

its not about being a role model.. but it is a trend that is followed. as far as i think its really cool having a plumpy, big-belly-d oldy grandpa.. isn't it?

well fat santa is like the fat toys which kids enjoy.. have to ever seen a kid smiling with a slim teddy bear... it will rather look like a corpse than a plumpy piece which the kid can hug and love. same goes with the plumpy santa... its the belly of the santa which attracts the kidos and they are delighted to hug the oldy grandpa... it think kids always delight fat toys than slim ones..
