Sleeping Pattern Out Of Whack!

My wife left out of state for 5 days awhile back to see her brother in his dying days. That left me having to get up to be sure my dad got his daily meds and breakfast. Usually the wife does this as I sleep in most days. Well ever since she left my sleeping pattern has gotten whacked out of alignment. I always get up around 6 or so in the morning even if I went to bed at 4. I can't bring myself to nap during the day like before either. It's annoying to say the least. HAHAHA!! My dad is the same way for some reason. He hasn't gone to bed his standard times since her return. We are both out of whack and it's all my wifes fault. I am wondering how long it will be before my sleeping is back on it's normal pace once again. Have you ever had your sleeping pattern tossed for a lopp along the same lines? Of course the picture I attatched was posed. I forgot to put on my santa hat too. SIGH!! I don't sleep at my puter. Well not often anyhow. HAHAHA!!

Never fails to have something out of the norm to put your sleeping schedule off track. I find if I go to bed after midnight, my whole day is shot when I wake up at 6am to get my daughter ready for school. Seldom can I go back to sleep after she leaves so I'm tired all day.

That's due to jet lag. I had that badly when
I went to the UK many many moons ago as well.

I have had bad sleeping patterns off & on most of my life. For a number of the past few years, I wasn't able to change my biological clock. My body would want to go to sleep around midnight or later. This meant that to get enough sleep, I needed until 8.00am. Of course, in real life, this didn't work. I had to get early to take my daughter to school (around 6.50 wake up).
Do you know what fixed my sleeping pattern? When my daughter started 4.00am or 5.00am swimming training, I can say that sure fixed my biological clock.
Another way to fix your sleeping pattern is to go outside in the sun as soon as you wake up. The sun changes your sleeping pattern. Dont wait. Go out as soon as you wake up.
Of course that method only works if you have some sun, which it may not for you with all the snow.

There is no sun this time of the year in Minnesota usually. HAHAHA! Today was foggy and icy all day. So foggy and thick we even have an air pollution warning for those like myself with breathing disorders & the eldery and very active adults. HAHAHAHA! Great huh? But with the snow when the sun does shine it is almost blinding reflecting off the white snow. Gets really bad enough that I wear sunglasses driving sometimes.

Well, has your sleeping pattern gotten back on track since you posted this discussion? I wish I could have a decent sleep schedule. It seems no matter what time I go to sleep, the latest I can sleep in is 9:30 am. I work a swing shift type schedule and then work PRN hours amongst it, as well as go to church on Sunday's and Wednesday's. So my days are full and some days, I am only home long enough to sleep.
