She bashed her father with a hammer in his sleep.

DR PHIL: She says that she doesn't know why she tried to kill her father. Her parents blamed the daughter's girlfriend for brainwashing her. The daughter's girlfriend said that before she went and hit him with the hammer, she heard that her father was doing inappropriate things to her daughter. 'Til this day she doesn't know why she tried to kill her father. What is your opinion on this? Do you think this girl has mental problems or she knew what she was doing?

I think she could be a little bit of both but it's just like some people to blame it on others and she may never remember why she tried.What happened to her?

I just finished watching it. We may never know what has actually happened though. What I'm irritated with is how much denial the mother is in. Dr. Phil read off the prior acts of violence their daughter has done and she had an excuse for everyone of them. She says she holds her daughter accountable but it sure sounds like she blames everyone but her.
