What kind of shapes and images have you seen while looking at the clouds?

When I was young my parents got us interested in looking at the clouds and finding shapes and images in them, there are seven of us, so it was probably just one more way to keep us occupied, it was amazing what we would find. When my kids were little, I did the same thing with them, they loved it. Now they do this with their kids. I have seen giant popcorn, snoopy, frogs and thats just a few. Can you see the face in the clouds in this image? What images or shapes have you seen?

LOL, I love to do that :) Used to do it with my kids as well. We would see the strangest things in those clouds:) Even now when we're laying down in the sand at the beach we still talk about the things we see in the clouds. I can see a face in the picture you posted, my daughter says she can see two.

I think I will probably do that for the rest of my life now. Sometimes I don't see anything but beautiful clouds, but that's OK too, because during those times I do a lot of thinking or just relaxing, which are both good for us. That's really cool you and your daughter can see the face in that cloud too. Thank you so much for responding to my discussion.

I don't think there are any better or worse experiences on this subject, we all see different things differently, not only in the clouds, but also in life. Two people can be looking at the only cloud in the sky and each one will see something different. Thank you so much for responding to my discussion.

i have seen countless shapes and images when i am looking at the clouds. scientists say we sometimes see shapes that look similar to things we know, like a shape of a dog; they say that is because our minds are constantly trying to make a pattern out of everything we see. although the shapes of a cloud are random some people believe that when they see certain shapes that it is a sign from god.

That's very interesting, and good to know because it always amazes me that two people can be looking at the same cloud and one see's something different that the other one see's. Thank you for shareing this information.

I've seen so many shapes.Like smurfs, giants, dragons, pokemons, sayans, sheeps, cows, lions. I love looking at clouds with shapes. It's awesome what we can see.Sometimes i wonder if it's just our imagination of what we want to see in the sky.

A Hatch View My Berth gives quite a view thru the aft hatch. The panorama passing by has no match. The puffy white clouds fly by in such haste. I could not miss such a pictorial taste! Look, a short trunked elephant with one wild eye. Lovers kissing without even a sigh. A skinny old man with a wicked nose. A duck with a feather clutched in its toes. Childish you say? Thank goodness I looked up. I promised myself I'd never grow up! D.R.

What a wonderful poem about clouds, I just loved it. And I know I'll never grow up if it means I can no longer look at the clouds and find figures and shapes. I will continue to look up. Thank you so much for your response and shareing this poem with us all.

I have seen a lot of shapes, but my best memory is when my brother and I decided we saw angels coming down from heaven. We were young and the clouds were high that day. The sun was streaming through some of them and seemed to drag the clouds down to the earth. We thought for sure this was angels streaming from heaven to earth. These types of clouds happen more often in our new home then where we grew up and I often think of that day on the hill watching the angels come down.

What a lovely thing to see, and also maybe they were angels. My sister and I had a similar experience. We were on our way home from a friends house when we were young and out of nowhere just below the clouds we saw what looked like to us were angels, well it worried un because we didn't know what they were, so we ran as fast as we could go to get home to tell our parents and they told us that what we saw were gaurdian angels and they were watching over us until we got home safe and sound. To this day I,m not sure if they were angels or clouds. I often think of this experience too. Thank you for shareing.

Looking at cloud shapes is a really fun activity to do as a family, especially with little kids. I tend to see bears and turtles a lot. I wrote an article about cloud shapes and what my daughter saw when she was young. You can read it here if you are interested: http://www.helium.com/tm/652032/cloud-shape-barney-purple

I just read your article about clounds shapes, how addorabal. I think it's just the best thing ever when kids use their imagination And how sweet it was for your husband to move your bed outside to enjoy that special day. That will probably be one of those special little moments in life with your family you'll never forget and always cherrish. Thanks for shareing, and also for responding to my discussion.
