My own laptop.

I used to always want a laptop. I thought it would be more confortable to sit on the couch and use it with it on my lap. But then I tried one and I didn't like not having a mouse. I didn't like having to use my finger to get to the place I want to click. I found it very slow. So I improvised and made my own laptop computer. All I do is put my keyboard on my lap. It is easy to type this way, without straining my back, and I can still use my mouse beside me on the desk. I can still watch my screen to see what I am typing. But now I don't have to bend my shoulders over the keyboard and get a sore back. I can sit up with my shoulders back and I don't get a sore back anymore. Has anyone else tried this? Try it, you'll see it is much easier.

I much prefer my laptop (using it right now) as I despise sitting at a desk. I bought a laptop mouse for it though. I don't mind the scroll mouse on the laptop, but for gaming, especially, it's better to have the real mouse, so I just bought one and plugged it into the usb in the back!

I wanted one to. Still do, but I didnt' like that thumb thing either. I understand you can attach a mouse to them and use any surface with an optical mouse, so I will give it a try as soon as I can afford one!

I have both laptop and desktop. While using a laptop I use a small mouse and it removes the problem of using the finger. I have put the desktop on the table and i sit on the chair with my legs on the table and the keyboard on my legs. I feel comfortable using the desktop this way.

Desktop or laptop - does not really matter if you use a wireless keyboard and a wireless mouse.

You can get a mouse for a laptop. I was at my sister=in=law's place in B.C. and they had a laptop with no mouse, but I have been at Staples and have seen lots of mice designed for laptops, so all you need is buy a laptop mice and connect it then problem solved. I do prefer an office chair to sit on rather than the couch, but I do want a laptop because when I get an idea I want to put it on right there instead of walking to the computer room. It is the portability that I like.

MY daughter used to do that. Her desk had wheel and could be moved so she would move it in such a way that it was in front of her and have the keyboard on her lap. But you can also use a mouse with the laptop. YOu can buy a mouse that you connect to the laptop in one of the usb ports. It's inexpensive and works perfectly well, that's what I use on mine.

I have a laptop and i think it's the most wonderful invention. I always wanted one too and this year i bought one.I bought a mac book. Now i don;t like to use a mouse anymore at work so i'm glad with my laptop i can bring it everywhere. I just watch tv and sit on the internet.

I used to always type like that when I used to my desktop, however, I got a laptop recently and I love it. I like being able to move from room to room, what ever the mood strikes, sometimes I like sitting at the kitchen table, other times I like sitting on the couch, we have a sectional with recliners at each end, so I can still look up stuff on my computer, send emails, etc, and still be in the room with my s/o.

Of course it is better to have a mouse for the laptop. Otherwise it will be so inconvenient.
