I just read that Lynne Spears....Brittany and Jamie Lynn's mother wrote a book about parenting. Since it has just been declared that her 16 year old daughter, Jamie Lynn is pregnant, the publisher is putting it's release on hold. I am not a parent, but it seems to me that Lynne Spears did something wrong in raising her two celebrity girls. We all know how screwed up Brittany is and now her 16 year old is pregnant!!! I would have a difficult time trying to learn something about parenting from this woman, if I were a parent. Would you buy this book and read it? Do you think you would learn how to be a good parent from this book? Or would it be a case of take the good (if there is any) and leave the bad? I have enclosed the link to the story, if you would like to read about it. PEACE http://omg.yahoo.com/spears-parenting-book-off-after-teen-pregnancy/news/4945

My husband came home last night and told me that he heard this on the radio. I think I would read it, not for advice but just out of curiousity. I would read it someplace free, like the library though.

She may feel she is a good parent but it truly doesn't show. Her kids are freaking out all the way. I can't believe she had written such a book. It was totally out of sense.

I would not buy the book, but I don't think all of this is her fault. Even though you can raise your kids the way they should be raised once they are out of your house you can't control what they do. Yes, what you did will influence their decision but so will many other things. If anything, I think Lynne did a good job with Jaime. She raised someone who is taking responsibility for her actions. I have a feeling that she never ever got along with Brittany and that Brittany rebelled like most kids her age do, unfortunately she was in the spotlight at the time.

I am not a parent but I don't put All the blame on the mother. She probably did her best but when your daughter has all this money and can do whatever she wants, it is hard to control all of her actions.I guess you can learn what not to do by seeing what Lynne Spears did.

I wouldnt buy the book.It would seem to me a waste of money.I know mothers can make mistaks. As I dated back then and had s*x at age 16.DId mom raise me wrong ?No.But I feel know matter how hard a mother tries to raise her kids they will still do things behind the parents backs. But I dont see her excuse(Jaime Lynns)as that the father of her baby was a longtime friend.Doesnt matter how long of friend it still shouldnt have been done seeing he is 19 years old.Jailbait if you ask me.I wish I hadnt done s*x at 16 but I at least used protection although that isnt a good reason either as it isnt always effective(c**doms that is).But some celebrities sometimes get caught up in fame and money, etc. that that thier life can mount into problems if they are not careful.Me and my husband are lockingmy daughter in her room at dating age until 20.LOL.Just kiding.

I don't think that book would be on the best seller, I don't even can think of one good reason why people should buy their book. Just because someone is pregnant doesn't mean that they know about parenting. Definitely a blake out. I think that book would be bad influence for parenting. LOL
