Yes, I have already made my cookies this year. I used a sugar cookie recipe I found on the web for my sugar cookies and a chocolate chip cookie recipe from my Grandmother. Also, I think Vanilla extract is WAY to overused so I typically use Almond extract instead. I think the Almond extract makes the chocolate chip cookies taste so yummy because it has a more full flavor. Well, enjoy your baking!

Well, I find Almond extract has a bit more kick to it. You have to play around with it a little to find out how much you liek it. Personally, I use the same amount Almond extract as the recipe calls for Vanilla, but it is a personal taste.

I haven't heard about using the almond instead. Do you just use the same amout as you would if it was vanilla?

I like the peanut butter ones with the kisses on top but I made them like I was going to make chocolate cookies and then added like the carmel filled kisses and the peanut butter kisses. It's really good like that.

I am not going to bake cookies this year. I have a back issue and it bothers me to stand for long periods of time. My family is well aware of the problem and understands. My favorite cookie is chocolate chip but also love a good oatmeal cookie.

We have already made a few christmas biscuits, but only basic cookies shaped as christmas themed shapes. We are going to make some more biscuits of different sorts over christmas and new year..... which is always fun to do with our son. Its always very messy, but thats part of the fun, lol. ~Joeys wife
