Most of us here have traveled to at least one Country before? Different people will have different agendas for their travel. For example, some will go food (the best local delicacies offered by the country), some will go for sight-seeing and others will go shopping? Which is of most importance to you when you travel? What is your agenda when you travel? Personally, I love traveling. When I travel to a Country, the most important thing to me is sight-seeing. I can do without the local delicacies. You can give me bread and water, and I'll be very happy. =D I like shopping but I cannot shop for the entire day. Sight-seeing is a must for me. I like to take beautiful pictures of the rivers, mountains, lakes, shrines and etc. I also love viewing the night scenery. I love going up tall buildings or hills to watch the night scenery. How about you? =D

I just came back from Hong Kong. To me, that's more of a shopping and eating place. They also have beautiful night scenery. You have to go up to The Peak to see it. =D The only country that I've been and seen really beautiful scenery is Japan. I love Nara and Kyoto. They are both very beautiful cities. They are very different from Tokyo and Osaka. I would love to go to Hokkaido. I have not been there before. New Zealand seems like a very beautiful place too. I would love to go there for Farm Stay one day. =D

ha ha ha... what is traveling without local food? To truly enjoy the culture of the country, we not only must see the sights and the people, food is just as important! We will be able to bring back memories of the sights we see from our photographs. We will be able to bring back the spoils of shopping from these trips. But one thing you will always remember the most is the food! Food transcends all languages. If it is good, it is good. If it is not, it is not! Tell me, the last trip you went on, the first thing that comes to mind is? FOOD! Cos that is usually the first meal you have when you are on a guided tour! Then after food, comes scenery! I love to see the different designs of the buildings, the beautiful nature of mountains, rivers and lakes, something that we will never get in our country!

See what I mean when I say food is the one thing we will never forget? You remembered the trip when I mention food and it happens to be Macdonalds. And the best part is, you even remembered who was the one who kept asking for it for every meal. heh heh... so was Hong Kong a nice place to visit?

I know you are the 'Food' guy. =P The last trip I went? It was to Hong Kong a month ago and it was a free and easy tour. Guess what? We didn't have any dim sum, mango dessert, polo bun and etc. My very young cousin (4yr old) kept wanting to eat McDonald's! LOL Thank goodness all of us are easy with food, if not, we might end up angry or disappointed.

Well we are off to Auckland, New Zealand next month to attend a friends wedding. Never been to NZ or to Los Angeles, Fiji and Tokyo where we are taking stopovers for a few days each. We are really looking forward to it and will enjoy sightseeing, shopping and eating locally in about equal measure. By the time we are back in the UK i won't have much change from US$ 10,000 so it is something we don't do every year. I need to write a lot more posts on Mylot to pay for it! haha

It'll definitely be USD 10,000 well-spent. Of all the places you mentioned, I've only been to Tokyo. Hope to travel to NZ and Fiji one day too.. Have an enjoyable trip. Cheers =D

I really love to travel. When I choose an airport to fly to I have to have a number places nearby that would be interesting for sightseeing. I especially love tropical scenery like palm trees and golden sandy beaches. However I get bored easily so somewhere with lovely with interesting walks, a coral reef to enjoy snorkeling, native wildlife and sites with historical significance. I adore photography and get much pleasure from taking photos of stunning beaches, pretty beaches, gorgeous mountains, lovely buildings and interesting wildlife. Seeing towns and cities all lit up at night time can be exciting. I love to watch sunrises and sunsets. I tend to take my own food as well as buy food in local shops when I travel. My main agenda is to explore, capture the images I see with photography and have a fantastic time. Happy traveling.

I have been to Japan too. =D I found Japanese people very polite. As for Vietnam, I have not been there before. Hopefully soon. I heard the shopping and eating in Vietnam is very cheap. Japan is an expensive country to shop and eat in. I love the scenery in Japan too. =D

When arranging agenda what to do during travel to one country, I used to try to find out what are the interesting places to be visited that they have. Then try to get a hotel which has strategic location with the places I'd like to visit. Secondly, I used to visit the traditional market to find out the foodcourt to taste their traditinal foods. I like to know the traditional foods for each country and also visiting their interesting places. I used to take a lot of picture for every countries that I have visited.

It sounds like you do not go for guided tour. Same here. I usually go on Free and Easy tours. I prefer to do my own research and then plan my own itinerary. =D I love taking pictures too. Taking pictures is a must! =D
