i was washing my hands in the washroom when i suddenly noticed the pink handwash. it had quite a strong rose-ish smell. So for hand soap and body foam - scented or unscented? if you like scented, which scents appeal to you most? Or do you prefer unscented? If so, why?

Smiley - More smilies... more smilies!
Hmm... I personally like the mildly scented ones. I cannot take it if the smells of the scented soap is too strong. Sad to say, my wife gave up quite a bit on using scented soap that is too strong for my benefit. And I do love her for that! The worst ones I smelled so far are the cranberry and strawberry scented products from body shop. They can be candles, bath foam, bath bar soap, lotions or oils, the smell is so darn strong, I can smell it from more than 50 meters away from the shop. When ever I am standing in the shop, I can choke and suffocate from the smells. Yucks!

Smiley - We seriously need some smilies in here!
It would be so much more fun to see people using the smilies to enhance their postings!
Trust me, comes christmas time and chinese new year, I wouldn't go near these shops! My wife would be happily looking at their products. I would be at least 50-80 meters away waiting for her. I cannot imagine how one can actually use these products that are so overwhelmingly sweet! I also cannot imagine how these sales girls are able to stand that sweet smell all day while working their shift! I would have suffocated in less than 5 minutes in those "toxic" fumes!

I would prefer scented but if the smell is too strong, I opt for unscented. I am rather sensitive to fragances which are too strong for my brains. No special preference for scents as long as they are light.

marketing folks should read this and only make lightly scented soaps.

I do not like the strongly scented soaps very much. The fragrance should be very mild.

I like scented soaps but have to be careful as I have COPD and some smells mess with my breathing and make it hard on me and some of them break me out so mild scents I think I do best with.unscented is okay for the most part don't have to worry as much with it.Have a super day.

Isn't it always scented soap? Nowadays, it is hard to find unscented ones... in fact, are unscented ones even sold in the first place? If the fragrance is nice, I would prefer a scented one...

hmm i try to go for unscented. it's easier on my hands as i have sensitive skin. but sometimes i go for scented. it's good for situations where i need to cover some smell. useful for times when i handle strong smelling things. find that those rose-ish smell ones a little too strong for my liking though. love those with citric smell esp lemon. really smells good and refreshing. :)

These days I like lavender. I used to like Citrus or Eucalyptus. But for candles I prefer unscented.

I like scented soap. I prefer food type scents (ie vanilla or peach) rather than strong floral scents.

Scented soap would be my choice, not unscented. Although the one that comes from the hand dispenser at the local malls etc. are yucky smelling.
