Don't change your mouse. You will be wasting money. Clean the mouse and try changing your mouse pad. Normally it takes awhile (well over 1 year) for a mouse to completely give out.

If it's an old style mouse with the little ball than I would consider taking it apart and cleaning the rollers, they get dirty over time, if it is optical try cleaning the lens. If either of these don't work, buy a new one.

Is it a kind of mouse that has batteries? If so, you may look into changing them! Just a thought!

If you are using the track ball type I suggest you try on the optical type. I do face the problems you describe and I change the mouse.....if not optical I recommen on logitech:)

I also think that u should change ur mouse now. U may consider LOGITECH (either laser/ball).

I am pretty sure that this is an option in the settings to move the mouse pointer to the corner of the screen when idle for a period of time. I have just tried checking the option on my computer, but I cannot find where it is. This may be due to my using Windows Vista, which is a program that I am still quite unfamiliar with and may have different settings. I would recommend checking through the settings for your mouse before considering replacing it because if this is the cause a different mouse shall behave the same.

I had that problem with my old mouse. Basically we took out the ball and put it back in. It might need to be cleaned. But when the mouse just got worse and got the the point where it always does that, we changed with the laser king.
