Me and a few of my friends were talking about how you can tell when you really are in love, when someone truly loves you and how important it is to show it... but a lot of people see it and show it in different ways... so how does everyone here show it when they really love someone? I think that real love is based on trust and sacrifice, what do you think?

for me, true love is when you feel empty when you are not with that person, you miss every single second that you are apart....it is when you care so much about that person and that you want to be with that person for the rest of your life.

Sacrifice, no. You should not have to sacrifice anything to the person you love. I think it may be compromise. Is that what you mean? I think true love is trust and companionship and not judging the other, and just accepting all their faults as well as all their good traits. I think it is friendship and romance and just enjoying being together. I think it is being comfortable with them no matter what. I think it's comunication, telling each other how you feel about anything and not feel judged or scrutinized. I think it is respect of the others feelings and thoughts. I could probably go on but I think you get my meaning.
