Do you drive in bad weather?

Personally, I can't stand to drive when the weather is bad and the roads get nasty. I have a small car, so it's sometimes hard to keep it steady enough to get where I'm going safely. Also, lots of people where I'm from can't drive!! I mean, they still speed and do stupid things even when there is ice or snow on the ground. Ridiculous!!So, do you drive in bad weather or do you stay home and keep warm?~~Taz~~

i try not to...so many times i have and i think how stupid everytime i go out...now that i am a stay at home mom i have not gone out and don't plan to again unless an emergency...where we live though we get so much bad weather they make it hard to use it as an excuse...its gotta be more than 6" snow before they close schools...and the drivers are awful...you get stuck behind people who are afraid to drive and then passed by huge suvs and trucks speeding...

I understand that. Here, they close the schools down as soon as they see a little dusting on the ground because I don't think they trust their own bus drivers to be out in the weather. lol

i think that is smart...a kid from my class actually slipped on ice & got hit by a bus at his stop...it was very tragic...you'd think they would have learned, but they didn't...

i stay home if i can avoid going out.i will only drive in bad conditions if i have to go to work or pick up the kids from school.we do not have snow here but we have had severe flooding and storms, and i am a nervous wreck if i have to go out in it,let alone having to cope with the idiots that drive like maniacs in bad weather.i prefer to keep warm .cheers sue

We drive when the weather is bad here, but we really don't have much of a choice, either. My husband drives for his job and his job doesn't quit for the weather, unfortunately. The only time it does that is when the place we need to go to is snowed in. It's scary driving when the weather is bad. Too many people are bad drivers even when weather is perfect for driving, so when there's bad weather, it's just awful. We also have a small car, but right now we have All Season tires which I'm extremely thankful for.

I believe I may look into getting some different tires for my car too. It holds the road well because it's low to the ground, but if the wind ever gets a hold of it, it's all over the place...lol. Be safe out there!!

Here everything closes when there is bad weather. Many people here can't drive either even during regular weather.Ice is the worst. Whenever there is a forecast snow or ice, I don;t go out.

Same here. I try to stay in anytime I can when the roads may be slick or whatever. I just don't trust other drivers.

The only bad weather we suffer with mainly is flooding! We are fortunate in that we don't have that much snow in the UK, but certainly with icy conditions or if the windscreen wipers can't cope with the downpour then I will pull over on the roadside until it stops, or don't drive at all. It's not worth the risk to you or other car drivers on the road.

This is the first year that I'M driving in winter. And this winter there is a lot of blizzard and a lot of snow. I will drive if I have no choice, like going to work or to the doctor. But If I have nothing else to do, I will stay at home :P

I don't mind driving when it's raining, but when it's snowy or icy, I stay home. I don't do snow, I have only lived in the northeast almost 3 years, and living in Texas all my life, I never had to deal with driving in snow. And I would rather stay home than to risk my life. And I really don't understand people that think they have to go somewhere when the snow is piled up on the roads and driving conditions are bad, and then they wonder why there are so many wrecks and problems.

I'm like you, staying home where its warm. I hate the cold and I hate driving in it. I have a 4 wheel drive truck and still hate it. I live in the mountains and there is tons of snow.
