yes, my wife is from the Philippines and we live in the Michigan, USA and it is a big thing to get a card from friends and loved ones..e-cards are easier and cheaper but also the slow mail cards are more special when they have monely inside..lol...i give my wife flowers, card, candy and take her out to her favoriate Restaurant..as she like Indian cuisine..but she gives me a lot of unconditinal love and 25 years of friendship..good luck to you and yours..and my neice Chariity (Che Che) lives in Kuwait and married to a fellow native..and she has two children and seems quite happy..

Most of the time we receive real greeting cards and we send them out as well. I do not exactly like e-cards for Christmas because you cannot put them around the living room. I do prefer them to say Merry Christmas and when Christmas is over, I will start looking for a box for next year. We still have some because well I did not have enough stamps to send them to more then our close relatives. We also get those family photo cards that I like quite a lot as well. And maybe I will try to make my own, once I get my printer upgraded.

greeting cards - thanksgiving card
hi annette! ^__^ i still receive real greeting cards from friends. and i still give real greeting cards to friends. not everybody here is exposed to the internet and not everybody has readily access to it. and then, i have penpals and we just love giving each other stuffs through our letters and that includes greeting cards. and its fun to go to the bookstore and choose greeting cards. there's more effort to it than sending an e-card. ^__^ plus, real greeting cards can be personalized, like adding stuffs to it, using glittered pens, anything. ^__^

Hi annettenasser! Yes, I still prefer the old fashioned greeting cards. I find them more meaningful and they seem more special then the e-cards. I guess, I am a sentimental person and receiving and sending them seems to be more heartfelt. Just my thoughts. Take care and have a nice day! Merry Christmas and Peace to all! :)

merry christmas to you too,, recieving real card this time is something very special because of the internet. e-card so high tech and losing the real sense of giving,, its just a normal messages that you can read on any site that you want but when it is a real greeting card that comes to your mailbox and was handwritten by the sender with a very nice thought.. isnt that sweet,,, anyway mine is from my auntie from The Netherlands.

I love them and I keep them as well I have a special box where I put all my cards in and its nice to go back and re read them expecialy from people that are no longer alive. This year I send over 60 cards (and that is only to friends and family). So far I have recived 17 but as most of them come from Europe they will arive before our christmas which is on the 6 january.
