Those who have been pregnant, did you have any bleeding in the beginning?

When i first found out i was pregnant the second time, i knew because i took a pregnancy test after my period was late. But a few days after, which would have put me at about 6 weeks pregnant, i had some weird bleeding. After going to the hospital they told me it was implantation bleeding, But wouldnt the egg have already been implanted LONG ago ? Any others have this happen to them?

I had bleeding twice with my son. The first time was a lighter brownish type stuff when I was about 3 months. I bled really bright red when I was about 7 months pregnant. Both times the bleeding didn't last very long. He turned out just fine and even stayed in an extra week.

Well i work in OBGYN and when the sperm meets the egg, its to busy dividing and sometimes takes a few days to get settled in. No worries, unless you get alot of bleeding. Keep in mind that if you get more than spotting or pinkish blood when wiping then you should be concerned. Also please dont panic if you do start to bleed, Remember there is nothing much doctors can do if you start to miscarry. Unless you have a different blood type. But other than that, stay off your feet. Stress on the body can cause bleeding. Get in bed and put your feet up. I cant tell you how many women are to busy with work and family to take the time out to lay down and put the feet up. They always say i cant. Take the time out now, because eventually you will have to. If you want that baby than really try.

Thank you for your answer :) This was a while ago as i am now 6 months along. I didn't freak out or start stressing because i have had a miscarrage before and i knew there wasn't enough blood to be there. but the blood was orangey and then brown, so i thought it was strange. Was just curious if anyone else has ever experienced that. I'm thinking now maybe it is because i had a previous c section. and maybe the scaring was stretching or something.

Oh congrats, this was a great discussion to start. Its the most called in about issue among the pregnant women, especially the newbies. Yeah and sometimes there is some pinkish/brownish blood when wiping when further along as well too. I get many calls on those that are 32wks and even 37wks. But great topic!

I had my period the first month after I found out I was pregnant. I wasnt normal like it usually was but enough to have me concerned. All I can tell you is she is 5 going on 50 and upstairs trying not to go to sleep. My mom had a friend who had a period for the whole 9 months and her son was fine. Just monitor it closely and when you do, just rest and keep your feet up. It should be fine. In some women, this happens.

I didn't bleed with my first 2 pregnancies, though I did with my third. Unfortunately that pregnancy ended in a miscarriage. :( My mother-in-law supposedly bled in 2 (or was it all three?) of her pregnancies, but had successful pregnancies. I think this is why my husband didn't worry much about when I was bleeding, until we saw the embryo. Even then he was in denial, until I took another pregnancy test a few days later and it showed a negative. That's when it hit him. :(

I barely had any pain from labour, and i didn't get to feel that whole labour/water breaking experience. But i'm ok with that cause i didn't stretch, rip or tear! nor did i feel any pain. I had a c section, and opted to have another one for this baby :) I am almost 7 months pregnant now, and i am happy to say i have not had anymore bleeding since week 6-7 :)
