Christmas Shopping Experience

I am so proud of myself this year. I have got all my Christmas shopping done. Usually, I am one of those last minute shoppers that is frantically trying to find everyone a gift. I thought for sure I was never going to get my shopping done in time this year because I have been so busy with my baby. I just went out shopping one day and got everything done. I don't think I have ever done that! It usually takes at least two or three shopping trips before I am done. Of course, I don't have nearly as much money to spend on Christmas as I normally do so that is probably the reason but I'm still proud that I got it done. How was your Christmas shopping experience this year?

I don't stress out about shopping for people. I did 99% of my shopping online, which helped a lot. We had 3 gifts left to get and we got 2 of them Friday. Tomorrow I am running out to grab one more. Even going to the stores this weekend, I don't find crowds to be bad at all. I am sure most of it is because we don't go in stores like Wal-Mart to get gifts (I did buy stuff from WM, I just did it all online). We picked up some stuff at Whole Foods and Barnes and Noble. Tomorrow I have to hit a local guitar shop. We are going to one of the malls tomorrow to meet my FIL for a bit to help him shop. I was at the mall briefly last weekend and found a parking spot right away. There were not any more people at the mall than on any busy Saturday afternoon.

You do have to start a bit early. I sell stuff on Ebay and was getting request to ship items at the last minute foe people. I did all my online shopping around Thanksgiving so ensure that I would get everything. Believe it or not, I got all my items new on Ebay and ending up spending less than I would have if I had bought the same items in the store (even with shipping).

It's always nice to get things like that done early. I did that this year too. I really don't like going to the mall when it's super busy. It's just way too stressful. I like to listen to people talking about the terrible holiday shopping they have to do and be able to say that I'm finished with it. Happy holidays!

I finished up most of my christmas shopping yesterday. The streets and stores almost drove me crazy! I almost got hit by a couple of SUVs while in store parking lots and was run over by a bunch of preoccupied shoppers. I find that people don't pay attention to their surroundings when they are in a panic. I have to watch out for them as well as myself. Appart from the crowds I do love christmas shopping for all the good deals.

Yeah good for you !! We also got our shopping done early this year too,first time in FOREVER !!!! It does feel good but today we are sitting here say "what are we going to do for the next 2 days"..lol
