Christmas Stamps

As most of you already know, I was late mailing my Christmas cards but not as late as my "usual" late. Hey I got them mailed off BEFORE Christmas this year and that is an accomplishment for me! However, when I went to the post office last week to buy Christmas Stamps, I was told that they were out. OUT? I couldn't believe it. Usually we are using Christmas stamps through January, February and even March around here. I couldn't believe that they had run out of Christmas stamps. I think that was just wrong. I ended up buying a stamp that was an "eco" friendly style and it just wasn't the same. My poor Christmas cards had to be mailed with regular stamps. Did your local post office run out of Christmas Stamps? I hope not!

I haven't seen the Disney stamps either. I usually buy a book of 20 and that will last me for a couple of months.

I must be a Scrooge or a Christmas party pooper but I never bother worrying about whether my stamps are Christmas ones or not. I keep a good stock of stamps in my drawer in my office, so I have plenty of stamps and never run out, so I wouldn't know if my local Post Office runs out or not, to me a stamp is a stamp, bah humbug LOL!

I bought mine online actually. It's 1$ extra and takes about 5 days to get to you, but I figure it is worth it since it saves me from driving to a post office and waiting in line :) Try that next year! You can buy them even further in advanced and have them sitting at your door step in plenty of time.

I always order my stamps online from USPS.com. I hate waiting in line at the post office and when I order online I can pick out pretty stamps. They charge $1.00 to ship the whole order, but the time I save NOT waiting at the post office is worth the dollar! I ordered religious Christmas stamps with Mary and baby Jesus on them, and some Christams crosstitch stamps with trees, snowmen and reindeer on them. I'm like you, I notice stamps and festive ones cheer me up!

I have no idea lol...my unstamped Christmas cards are still sitting on my desk. I just kept forgetting to stop or when I did remember I didn't have any money with me. It finally got down to "crunch time" and s/o's truck broke and he needed to take my car to work...and of course he had to be on days so I have no car from 5:30am to 7:00pm. The post office is only a mile away down the hill but that's a long walk with 3 little boys and even longer to come the mile back UP the hill.
