Brushing at least twice a day is a healthy habit. Our teeth are too important to let go. Lots of pain and expenses come from neglecting our teeth and it can all be prevented by keeping our teeth in tip top shape.

I think that most dentists will tell you to brush 3 times a day, but really who carries a toothbrush around with them in the middle of the day ? I dunno anyone who does. Also i found this literature:
Regular teeth cleaning by a dental hygienist is recommended to remove tartar (mineralized plaque) that may develop even with careful brushing and flossing, especially in areas that are difficult for a patient to reach on his own at home. Professional cleaning includes tooth scaling and tooth polishing and debridement if too much tartar has accumulated. This involves the use of various instruments or devices to loosen and remove deposits from the teeth.
Most dental hygienists recommend having the teeth professionally cleaned at least once every 12 to 24 months.

Yes I do. Good oral hygiene helps with better health overall. Like I tell my daughter, A clean mouth is a happy mouth. Flossing daily is important too.Certain plaques in our mouth, if not properly dealt with, can actually effect heart health. So brusha, brusha, brusha! LOL
