Is it possible to respond to all discussions with no responses?

I am feeling excited tonight that Christmas is just two days away and my big celebrations with friends and family will start tomorrow. I have a thought and hope to answer to as many old discussions with no responses as possible. I do that once in a while as I do not like my own discussion to be unanswered. Do you also do that? Do you think it is possible to clear them if we all do that?

I suppose if ALL of us worked together really hard to only answer ones with no response we could get rid of all the old ones but we could never clear the list completely. Everytime someone starts a discussion it goes onto that list until it gets answered so there are constantly being new ones added even if they don't stay there for long. Some of the old discussions would be really hard to answer though because often there's a really good reason why they didn't get a response.

Not sure. Most of theese discussions are just repeating another ones, others are spam, most are promotions of pay-to...sites...And i dont think that all of us must reply just because of charity. To take part in discussion must be a pleasure, not an obligation.

Some of the discussions in No Reponses are gems though, and mylot does lose at least a few new but good members over it. I have not seen several of them in a month due to their getting low responses to discussions, even though a lot of their discussions were not bad. I do agreed that discussions should be a pleasure or something to do by choice, not something to force upon others.

Well, I guess you are right about doing charity vs providing constructive replies. I gave up after 2 hours of trying. :-)

A good idea to serve all. But, practically it is not possible always to answer all the no response question. there are several reasons. Either the question should be very tough or question should be very short. If you mark the no response questions, you will find very short and silly questions raised by the new commers. It would be better if the Mylot people when get their referals, they should guide properly with the posting guidelines.

Well i do try to answer them but some i just don't know an answer to so a lot of them will receive no answers. I think it's impossible to answer them all.Well if you're a person who knows an answer to everything i think you can succeed in answering them otherwhise i don't know if anyone can.

I really dont know if thats possible or not. The other night i went through discussions with no responses. I stopped on like page 12, i think. Some of them i didnt answer because i didnt understand why the person was saying. But every night i go through and try to answer as many of the discussions with no responses. I know i also hate when no one has responded to mine. I have been going through them right now for about an hour.

Fully agree. I am not sure if they know what to expect in the first place when starting a discussion. Oh well, I am beginning to give up on the 'mission' already. Have a great holidays!

It may be possible, but in some ways it is not. On the possible side, there aren't as many discussions without response as there are discussions with responses. Some can go through about a month or a couple of weeks of discussion in just a few pages on average sessions. I've also seen discussions from 1 month, 2 months, 3 months, 4 months ago all get "revived". Even a discussion a year old only had one reply from a few days back. On the impossible side, mylot's page-link configuration is broken. New pages or switching pages sometimes require a page refresh to see what the page really has on it (repeating pages, hidden pages). Also, some people are just going to respond to what's in front of them not what's in the past. Other things, some people complain of being bored with discussions or of mylot being slow. They could try combing over the list or the list of new user discussions, just to at least check it out. Of course people are going to be people, they'll respond as they want. I will say that not all zero response discussions and new user discussions are spams, pointless discussion, or cheating. A lot of them are, but there are also some discussions on a person's life, feelings, thoughts, even some deeper things like philosophical questions. Could we clear all of the discussions with no responses. On review, this may not be possible, since there are spam discussions, cheater discussions, worthless discussions. Also people will reply to what they want, and its possible that out of a group of "zero hunters" that all of the individuals involved may not find a discussion worthy of response (even if it was a good discussion). There is also the page issue, no matter the diligence a discussion may end up skipped on due to this error. I close with some take home points. Just respond to what you want and what you can. Its your time and your "mylotting".

i also like to answer some discussions from discussions with no response. But i hardly believe that it is really possible for one to clear all those discussions that are there in that section. I believe there are so many and it sjust next to impossible to do so.
