Valentines candy already out on Dec 23rd?!

That drives me crazy when I see that. Lets enjoy one holiday at a time. The stores are always one holiday ahead. Just like putting summer close out in January and Winter close out in July.

/facepalm ... ... /temple rub... The agony...! Oh...the agony... -_- I'm happy to say I've not seen Valentine's stuff up. The worst part is, I'm not surprised something like this is happening. Think of how much emphasis a lot of people (and definitely retaliers) place on Valentine's. /temple rub.

I noticed the Valentine's candy and gifts lining the shelves at our local Kmart yesterday. I pointed it out to my husband who grumped about it too. I say lets have a breather from one holiday before having another shoved down our throats.

yes they are and it is sad. but its not the stores fault its the man that wants to keep making that old mighty dollar and we are still dumb enough to fall for it because if we see something for valentines now we are likely to buy it now no matter what the holiday is for the moment. we just want to get it before someone else does,or buy it now so that we will already have it.

Since I'm avoiding the stores like the plague right now, I haven't seen this, but I do remember seeing Valentine candy out only a few days after Christmas last year. And EASTER candy! Lordy but that stuff will be stale by the time Easter rolls around!

We need to celebrate the holidays as they come not 2 months earlyer. I hate the stores for doing that. Do they think they are going to make more money starting way early?

Good grief, these retailers are really getting out of hand aren't they?! I realize they're having a bad year because of the economy, but really, this is a little absurd to say the least. I haven't seen any Valentines stuff yet, and I'm hoping this isn't a new trend. Never thought about it before, but maybe (besides the economy and greed) they are having it out early so servicemen's wives can send care packages over. (Just a thought, but I'm sure $$$$ in the retailers hand is the real reason.)

I think the marketing junkies get more shameless every year. I'm shocked that they don't have Easter candy out right beside it.

I went to Target on Christmas Eve to get some alst minute Christmas decorations- I was looking for a Christmas centerpeiee. Well, most of the Christmas stuff was cleared out and replaced with Valentine's stuff! Now I love Valentine's Day, but I need to get through one holiday before I think about the next. You know what I really hate? When the Christmas and Halloween stuff are both out at the same time. Now that's just wrong!

ah the joys of retail! yes, i was out shopping yesterday with my young daughter and i saw a little bit of valentine stuff out already! its really hard to believe that they do this!
