Is it just me or are the new Toyota trucks are looking more like the ford trucks? It could be just me but as I was riding through my neighborhood not long ago I noticed one of the neighbors had a brand new truck now at a glance from the stop sign to where it was it sure did look like a ford truck. What is up with that? They ran out of ideas? Just my opinion

It's definitely intentional in my opinion. Starting with the change in the Toyota emblem in the grill going oval like the Ford one, then headlights and general grill appearance. Now with the new Tundra trying to go head-to-head with the F-150,the F-series being the best selling truck 30 years running, Toyota wants exactly that response from the casual observer. If you notice, Toyota has since the '80s, made their cars and trucks look similar to the best selling brands. Corrollas that looked like BMW 318s, the LS470 now looks like the BMW 750iL, the aforementioned Tundra, Camrys that are similar in look to the Ford Taurus and so on. It is said that imitation is the highest form of flattery, so when I see a Toyota that looks like another vehicle, I know that the other vehicle is the benchmark and thus the one to buy.
