Still getting over last Thursday, a day when everything went wrong!

First, I tried to leave my house, shouldn't have been that hard, but the doorknob fell out in my hand. I got it back in and somewhat together. Then I reached over to grab my keys. Where are my keys? Ok, maybe I locked them in my car. I'll grab my spares. So now, with the doorknob somewhat together and spare keys in my hands, I go outdoors. Second, I open my car door. My car alarm goes off. No problem, I'll just relock the door, turn it a different way and it will shut off. WRONG! The alarm kept going and going and going. So I'll start it up. WRONG! Engine disabled due to attempted theft. My spare key does not have a spare remote so I'm now a theif and my car has to alert the neighborhood as well as disable my engine. Third, I called the car dealership (after trying to go through the door and the doorknob fell off again), he told me to use my remote, if I had had a remote, I wouldn't be in this trouble. He insisted I had two remotes, no, I bought the car second hand and someone had run over th other remote. So call Triple A. Fourth, called AAA, they wanted to tow my car. It works, why tow it? So a repair person came and fought with my car. He left. Fifth, my car is horrible stuck in the driveway. I tried to rock it back and forth, no go. Dug snow out from all the tires, tried again. Spun it down to ice. Got some wood ashes (door knob fell off again getting the ashes)and put them under. Went a foot and got stuck again. Dug snow out, spun down to ice, more ashes, (there seems to be a theme here). 4 feet later (repeate the stuck, dig out, spin, wood ashes a couple more times and don't forget the doorknob), 4 inches from the road, it sticks and my neighbors push it two inches for me. Finally my car crawls out. I started to leave my home at 9AM, it was noon before I left my property. Anyone have similar days like this? AAHHHH!

As soon as the doorknob fell off, I would have set everything down and gone back to bed... thats the worst possible omen! I've just had 3 weeks where I haven't been able to find anything or finish anything right, so I gave up and let the gremlins have it all... but that doorknob thing would have scared me too badly to continue whatever it was that I was doing!

I have not had that bad, but it seems for me everything comes in threes and once something breaks, I only have to wait a little while until the second thing goes wrong and then the third. However, it was not all in one day. I did have the back door knob fall off one time, but then the front door opened perfectly. Oh one day I went out and left the front door keys in the living room. So I could not open the door, and my younger son was working but he was going to see his friend's and my husband was not going to get home until after midnight. So I stayed with a friend of mine and then around six, I went home and my son was there luckily.

I've had the 3's thing before. My parents, when I was a teen, gave me 200 bucks for any repairs when they went to Florida. They weren't even gone an hour when the stove quit. Then the refrigerator and finally, the furnace. Called my parents when they got there and told them 200 wasn't going to make it! I don't think our old house wanted them to leave! All that stuff was decades old. TAke care and thanks for the response, man you were lucky you had a friend and your son came home. I can only use my side door to go in and out. The front and back are escape routes only. TC

looks like it's not your lucky day... my best advice is to repair that doorknob, and to buy a new car, my goodness!!! your car gets you a lot in trouble.
