I thought I won the Jackpot...

I was playing Banko on the Netwinner site earlier today. I looked at the thingy below the card that tells you what you might win that call and saw that a Bingo would get me the Jackpot! I needed one number to get a full row (Bingo) and was wishing that number to come up. Well, it did! But the pop-up said I only won 25 points. What the...? I looked again at the thingy and only then noticed that it was out of sync... again. Wah! What a wonderful Christmas present that would have been if I had indeed won the jackpot. Oh, I know, I wouldn't get it for awhile, and not the whole thing in one lump sum, but I would be having visions of more than sugar plums... Fifty-thou a year for the next twenty... I'd be set for life. I'd even be able to take a tropical vacation in the middle of winter, or perhaps move back to Vancouver, or or or... What visions run through your head when you dream of winning?

Wow! Can't believe you were so close... yet so far. I get frustrated with Banko. I can't believe the number of games I've played where none of the numbers on my card were called until well past 15 calls. Or one number left for the longest time only to have the game end with me getting nothing. Gggrrr! My dreams of winning? Paying off debts, unfortunately. That is my sad state of affairs right now. If I were to win millions we would probably have our dream home built and of course a trip would be in order. Family members would also get a little "gift". But I would settle for anything in the tens or hundreds of thosands. Lots of money can cause lots of problems. I would be happy with enough to get me out of my current situation and let me have a few treats (a trip to Hawaii is one of them), the sock the rest away to make interest.

I was pretty happy when I got 15,000 points on one card and the points, except for 10, are pretty much more than you can on the wheel, if you get any at all.

I have about the same luck with Banko as you do. Only the first time I played it did I win a lot of points. Yes, money can cause problems. That's one good thing about Netwinner... you won't get it all at once.

Yeah, Banko is frustrating. I think there's still a few bugs to work out...

I think I would have screamed a bit in frustration. I haven't been playing banko so much with all the other partner sites to spin at now. I think the most I ever won on one card was 525. I got a 500 point bingo early, but when I hit the continue button instead of the cash out button, it was a little noisy around here. I was so glad I didn't lose the points when another 25 point win came up. I think I like the other sites because you don't have to RISK your wins like you do on Banko. Heck, it's hard enough to get them with only 100 spins per site now.

If I win something big or even dream of winning something big I am usually thinking in terms of making my life easier. Buy a house or car or both even and actually having enough money to pay my bills. Now thats a dream...lol.

I know what you mean. If my income suddenly doubled, I'd think I won the lottery. I'd still be under the poverty line, but I'd feel rich after these last few years. Merry Christmas.

Sounds like the time I thought I had won $100,000. I had the Daily News scratch-off game cards, and each day you scratch off specific numbers for that day. So here I am busy scratching off the numbers and I freaked out...I Had WON $100,000. I was literally jumping up and down, acting like a maniac, my cats and mom (who was still alive) all looked at me like I had lost it. So the next day I'm photocopying all this proof of ID I needed to send in to claim the money. Back home I'm getting everything put together to mail out and look at the card again...My mouth gaped open and wanted to scream...I had scratched the numbers off for the wrong day! Talk about my heart sinking, cause yes, like you I had started envisioning what I would do with that money.....crap!!!!!!!
