Do you believe in herbal medicine?

I believe some herbal medicines are good, but I think some health food companies do cash in on the trend.

A lot of herbal medicines work, I am an RN and work with modern medicine. I believe that what ever type of medicine you use be it modern, natural, herbal do not mix them unless you know what you are doing.

We in India have tremendous faith in herbal medicine. In fact the science of medicine which was followed by large number of people until last decade or two was AURVEDA - cent percent herbal medicine. It is ironical to see the educated class having experienced the ill effects of alopathic medicine are slowly switching over towards the herbal medicine whereas the villagers who are close to the ayurvedic medicine are now switching over to alopathic medcine. The greatest point in ayurveda is that none of the medicines will have any ill effects or side effects on the body. In fact in our family, we take to herbal medicine for most of the ailments.

I do believe in herbal medicines. I think herbs are very good for health and body. I like have a good massage in herbal oil. I feel my pain and aches vanishes after a good massage with herbal oil. I have back pain because I stay in front of the computer for around 10 to 14 hours a day. I also get a lot of stress due to the nature of my work. I feel very relaxed and my head feels cool after a good massage with herbal oil like Navarathana oil. I think one should try different types of herbal perfumes also. Some herbal perfume oils have the ability to relax the body and to give a fresh sensation and some have the ability to give good sound sleep.

I believe that a combination of herbs and medicine works best.To use just one without the other may work but if you use both together, it works better.
