how do you save money?

This might sound a little extreme! Every time I get a paycheck, I take 40% or 50% and put it in a savings account, and after a year you have a great sum saved up!

i save money by following this golden rule: income - savings = expenses I always make sure to pay myself first by setting aside at least 10% of what i earn, no matter how big or small an amount it is. I've read this formula in a financial book and so far it worked for me. Before, i used to do the opposite, save what's left after the spending but it seemed like there was nothing left to save always and i just went on with the cycle of living from paycheck to paycheck. At least now, i am able to keep a portion of my earnings and with what's left out of it i try to cut off unnecessary expenses just to make ends meet.

There are two ways. Make more money or spend less. If you can do both then you are golden.
