Who's Here On Christmas and Who's Here On the Day After Christmas?

As I write this it is Christmas in my half of the world, but for some Christmas has come and gone. For those that are here and it is the day after Christmas, how was it? How did you celebrate (or do you not celebrate it)? For those that are here and it is Christmas day, why are you on myLot? Do you skip celebrating Christmas? Was there a lull in the day? Why are you here today? Me...I am here trying to relax. I have cooked this and that and still need to make potatoes, but I have no idea what time dinner is supposed to be today! My mother-in-law said noon, but she is still out caroling to seniors and noon is in five minutes. Does that mean it will be at one or at two? LOL...so I am relaxing for just a moment.

I didn't get on to mylot on Christmas. I came home from my family function, after working 5 hours and just hit the bed. I woke up about 11 & chatted with the roomies for a few hours, but really didn't do much. Its 1:30 & I'm on now, but only for a few minutes before hitting the sack again - have to work again tomorrow!

Have been home all day and we will be leaving later for Christmas dinner with friends. The meal is always wonderful and I can't wait. It's a beautiful day here in my part of the country so no need for boots or even a coat. Unusual for the midwest to experience this sort of weather on Christmas Day. Two of our daughter's are working today and tonight. The youngest is visiting her in-laws in Colorado so we won't see any of our girls this year. We were all together Thanksgiving and it was wonderful. Merry Christmas to you and yours, carolbee

Good that you are taking a break rather than getting all stressed out as many people do. My familiy's plans changed over and over leading up to the holiday. I kept myself in check and just went along with it all which is not easy. We so want everything to be perfect. how important is anything if even one person is in a fowl mood....it's as contagious as a smile.

It's Christmas here as I'm writing. I don't technically celebrate the holidays religiously, but my husband and I celebrate both his religious holidays and mine, so I sort-of celebrate Christmas with him. This morning we did gifts, and this afternoon we're having a friend over. Inviting our friend was an impulse thing, but I'm glad we did so. He should be here in half an hour, and I'm excited! :) My husband is doing some of the cooking, and my friend is bringing food as well. I'm not much of a cook, but I helped by watching our son while my hubby was cooking! :P
