I got an iPod Touch for Christmas and can't figure out how to get videos and movies to transfer to it. My music library went on without a problem and there is room for the video I want to put on, but it just won't go. Any help would be appreciated.

You need to use a software named"winavi mp4 converter",there you can convert your avi to mp4(the mp4 that the touch can go,other mp4 may not be suitable to the ipod touch)

Did you load the videos into itunes? There is a section just like your music library but for videos then you have to drag and drop it like you do music. I got one for christmas too, I love it!

I have tried dragging and dropping and importing and adding file and adding folder in every way that I can think of. Do I need to change the file extension? It is currently an AVI.

Im not sure...iTunes does the converting for me but there is an option that you may have selected that tells iTunes not to convert files.
