Got Lost... but later on was found?

Where you got lost when you were younger? Like you could not find someone familiar, and you had to think fast because you were just a kid, and that you have a younger brother with you, and all of your adult relatives/ family were not within reach? I had experienced that. Everyone in the family was in this rally -- a celebration rally, because the new president had provided the country a new hope for a brighter future, and everyone was happy for that. We were there, in that park. We were there together with the rest of the people in the city. Being kids, we were there because of the park. :) Because it was a new place where we can play and run while the adults would cheer (ra-ra-ra) of the then-would-be new beginning. Then while I was like pretty responsible for my younger brother, Erick John, the one responsible for me was nowhere to be found. Well, I did not realize that we were left or we got lost because I was pretty confident being with Erick John was like I had a brother to look after to...and that we would find our parents or uncles somewhere around the corner... then I realized that LOST was such a big word, and LOST was tantamount to being scared of not seeing your parents and other brothers, scared that we would never be reunited... and at that very moment LOST sank in. I held my younger brother's hand tightly and I was already panicking and crying. The city was not yet my home then, me and my family were still at the getting to know the city phase... I cried and cried, then a bunch of college students found me... they were members of the League of Filipino Students. They asked me why I was crying, and I told why. Then they suddenly became responsible of us --me and my younger brothers. In the middle of the rally, we were asked to join them at the stage and paged our parents... an hour later no parents were there... no familiar faces could be found. We tagged along these cool students and they invited us to join the motorcade. The motorcade was a great experience for my younger brother, he was enjoying the confetti and I was like crying because I knew we were lost. Then one of the students asked me if I knew of the place where we were staying, and because I was so fond of memorizing landmarks, I told them to go to my uncle's place because it's something I knew of with all my heart. We were able to reach my uncle's place, but nobody were there... we all waited there... and minutes later, we were reunited with my mother. So, I kind of experienced being a lost and found kid back then, and I think I would not want to experience that again. So do you have any experience like that?

Wow, you're a very vivid story-teller. Nice work. What a nice group of college kids you ran into, and I bet your mom was frantic without you. I was lost once, when I was 5, in a snow storm walking to my bus stop, I wandered around for hours (obviously I missed the bus). My bookbag, at the time, was a teddy bear...or was shaped like one, so I wandered around with my bookbag clutched to my face because it was so cold. It wasn't until an old couple in a shiny Cadillac stopped and asked me if I was okay that I realized that a 5 year old wandering around in a snow storm was probably an alarming sight. I started feeling sorry for myself and crying...so there I was...a 5 year old, in a snow storm, clutching a teddy bear, wandering around lost. :) Ha! I ended up finding my way home and I was only a matter of blocks away from my house the whole time.
