I just love wintertime. Especially the scenes after a fresh snowfall. The best is the large pines trees here in Minnesota that get covered with the snow and hang on the branches forever it seems. I can stare at scenes like this and get so relaxed and calm. It's peaceful, and serene looking. This is a tree next door to me. The tree is maybe 30 feet tall I'd guess. It is some type of pine tree not sure of which variety. But with the fresh snow today it looks absoluetly georgous to me. Have you any winter/snow photos to share here? Does scenery like this calm you down at all? Please share with myLot members. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Snow-covered woods - The view from my side porch.
Snow seems to make anything/everything magically beautiful. Even those drab-looking powerlines.

Yes, I could get lost looking out a window enjoying natures beauty of snow covered trees. Haven't had any snow here in Southern Indiana yet this winter. I guess you are having our share of snow for us!!!! Stay warm!!!!

So nice looking - Squirrels hate the branches coated this heavily. HAHAHA!
Indiana never really gets much snow. At least compared to us here in Minnesnowta. HAHAHA! Here's another shot of snow on some branches. I love these shots. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Hello Bob! I too love the scenery after a freshly fallen snow. The trees look so wonderful. It is peaceful and calming too. When I am driving in it, that is the pits. But, once I am in a place where I can stop and look around, I am in awe of what beauty is around me.

How I wish there was snow in my country. It never ever snows in my country, and how I wish December could truly be winter! It only rains here.. Oh well. Thanks for your picture. I don't have any pictures to share, since there's no winter here..

THis is Robbie enjoying the snow in our back yard - This is Robbie, when he was adopted, he had a heart problem, we were told that he would probably live to be only a year old. He was 9 this month.
This is one of my favorite pictures, it show Robbie, he was born with a heart problem, and we were told he would live to be no more then about a year. In this picture he was something like 7, he was 9 this month and as you can tell the heart problem has not slowed him down that much.

the thing about heavy snow is also that it makes everything so MUFFLED. and quiet, like everything is wrapped up in fur. Like the world has become one big polar bear, all snug in its natural covering. And the sounds are all muted such that there is less noise. i don't have any more winter photos apart from those old ones that I had posted before but I'm sure looking forward to enjoying yours!

This is a beautiful photo. It is certainly something we never see here in Adelaide.

We don't get snow here on the Gold Coast in Australia, so I love your discussions about all the snow you have been getting lately, and especially seeing your lovely photographs showing the snow in all it's glory! A snow scene does have a calming effect, especially when you are out walking in it at night; sounds are muffled because of the snow falling and I find it quite magical - takes me back to my childhood in Scotland. So, I can't give you a pic of any snow, but I thank you for yours!

snow scene - a tree with snow
I love winter scene photos too. After a big snow fall I always run outside and take some photos. Nice photo of the pine tree. Here is a photo I took about 2 weeks ago.
