Facing Retirement?

My husband will retire in two years. We are hoping our retirement will be filled with travel, good times, and seeing and doing the things we've worked for, for so many years. I'm looking for things my husband and I can do to keep our lives active during our down town at home. We plan to travel in our RV as much as we can and can afford. We plan to go camping and boating when we can. I'm looking for ideas we can both be involved in when we're not away from home. Any ideas? I'm sure there are some retirees out there with great ideas for having fun. I want to hear what those facing retirement or who have been retired have come with.

My Hubby and I are a long way from retirement but it is never to earl to dream. We would love to be camp hosts. It is only minimum wage but to be payed to camp is a dream come true for me. There is so much of the world I would love to see and the RV makes it all the better. Now we just need to wait until we can afford to use it like we want too.

Work - Camping is awesome I'm sure. We haven't done it but I know some people who do it. They run a camp ground, their first love, and they get their space for free plus salary. It's the camping and rving they love - like you. And - it's never to early to start planning for it either. We're getting things paid for and out of the way so we can retire with no debt. I can hardly wait for him to retire. Sometimes when we're sitting watching television I will turn to him and (jokingly) say, "Why don't you go get the truck ready. I'll get the 5th Wheel packed and we can take out for XXX (the first state that pops up in my head). Then we both go into an imaginary tracking of towns we will go through and what we will do when we get there. How funny. But I can hardly wait.
