Fact: Manual treadmills burn more calories and electric treadmills are easier on the joints.
So which do you prefer?
Would you rather burn the fat now and possibly have aching knees and ankles later on or go for less fat burning now?
From what I have read recently, any form of treadmills are not good for the joints, and should not be used. And it does not really help in fat burning. You should try HIIT for maximum results.
