Now that Christmas is over when do you take down the tree? I have always taken it down right away but some people keep it up until after the first of the year. so when do you take yours down?

We'll be taking ours down this weekend. We usually get it up the weekend after thanksgiving and then take it down the first weekend after Christmas. We have a fake tree, so atleast we don't have to worry about the clean up.

I took our tree down today due to having a new kitten which won't stay out of it and actually turned it over this morning. Usually, I leave it up until the first weekend in January. It is sad to not have it up but I guess I have to live with it. I still have my other decorations up and will leave them awhile.

Isn't new kittens adorable though even if you have to take your tree down a little earlier than usual? Was it a christmas present? Have a Happy New Year!

I took mine down last night. My husband wanted his living room back no more tripping over Christmas ornaments that fall off or decortions that are around. Happy holidays.

Hey!! We took our tree down yesterday as soon as the mess from presants was cleared! It was so sad. And now my house is bare and sad. Usually I'll take them down two or three days after.

I tend to take my Christmas tree down on New Years Eve. The reason for this is for the fact that I need to keep myself busy for the rest of my vacation. Besides, I enjoy looking at the different things that my family put on the Christmas tree, and the decorations are just so pleasing to the eye site.

I usually take mine down the first Saturday after Christmas due to working all week I don't want to start unless I can finish and it usually takes a good day to get it all put away. Happy New Year

We take ours down the morning of January 8th after the Julian-calendar recognized Orthodox christmas is over. It has been a tradition in my family since I was born so the holiday season begins with Thanksgiving dinner and ends on the 8th of January with a huge dinner also that serves as a foundation of health, wealth and happiness through the fruits of our labor . . . sharing the light and happy holidays, Miss Erica Hidvegi, the Enlightenment_Advisor, B.A. Psych/M.A. Transpersonal Studies- Cnslng/Author, Artist, Photographer, Entrepreneur & Freelance extraordinaire

Our tree always stays up until on or after January 6th. This year it will come down on that day, since everyone will home to help take it down and put things away. I will probably start to put away decorations in other rooms later this week after the children start back to school.

I usually take mine down by the second week in January, but I know of people who keep theirs up all year long which is totally ridiculous.I put mine up early so that i can take it down early.
