I have a friend that's homeless in the Los Angeles area. She sleeps in her van and the cops been harrassing her for something she didn't do. My husband and I is trying to get her out of there. We're not going to stop till she is out of Los Angeles.

We are going to get her out of Los Angeles. My husband and I will be moving to Texas and we're going to be moving her to Texas and getting her a house there.

I think it seems that people tend to pick on the poors all over the world. Of course it is not fair, but it is the same everywhere.

Thats a very difficult question Nan110, it is abit of cruelty to run hese guys out of the street-the Government is the main deliverer of social services, they the ones to blame for having policies that keep across section of the population in poverty-they are the ones who should be ashamed to chase poor people out of the street where at least they can survive, I think the cops are just following orders-the real culprits here are the leaders in the government. They are squarely to blame!

Thanks for your comment. The Cops where she is don't want to help the homeless.

It truly is sad that there are so many homeless out there, and people are so unwilling to help them as well. I do understand that there is not enough $$ to go around to help everyone, but why do we continue to intimidate them, and accuse them of being troublemakers as well? A lot of the time, they are homeless due to no fault of their own, and people should respect instead of accuse and harass all the time. Not sure what it will take, but hope that this situation with your friend has turned out for the best.

Thanks for your comment. She won't be in the situation that she's in very long. She has a house waiting for her in Texas and the same goes for us.

I do not think that its fair for them to try to run her out of town no. But it sounds like they have set the ball rolling for you and your hubby to get her some help, or help her yourselves, so maybe for her at least, in the long run, its for the better. . Silver lining in this case. It is too bad that every person who has been or is homeless doesn't have friends like you guys willing to help them. The world would be a much better place for a lot of people. Job well done for you guys, Changing the life of even one person who is homeless is a giant deal. After all if they all get help, one person at a time, that's STILL everyone. *big pat on the back for a job well done*

How is it your helping her? and how well do you know this person? well enough to bring her into your home? If you know for sure she did not do anything wrong then help her to prove the police wrong not by helping her leave help her to get back on her feet and live a life not homeless. yes it is hard to do this I think you will do this person a lot of good by just loving her and help her get back up

My husband and I have some friends in Texas that's coming to California helping us and getting her out of Los Angeles. If we had the room she would be staying with us. she won't be homeless for very long.

No, it's not fair to those people. Some of them are homeless by choice, believe it or not, and those are the ones that I have issues with. But I still don't think they deserve to be harassed (I'm not saying your friend is doing it by choice). At least your friend has shelter for the moment, even if it does have four wheels. I think what needs to be done is have more programs developed to help the homeless and the poor, but those are the programs that seem to be getting removed from the national budgets more and more. I'm glad your friend has you to help her out. Don't give up on her. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your friend hon.

That is a hard and heavy subject honestly. For instance, there are places where the homeless are welcomed, so their is no need for them to be out in the streets in the first place. Also with homelessness comes a high city crime, as well as more street beggers. Both of these things are unsafe to society in general. It is best for the homeless to help themselves with the assistance of others. So in some ways, I do believe that it is fair.

Thanks for the comment. The homeless don't have no where else to go. It's not really fair to run the homeless out of town.
