I think tea is an addiction! I feel restless if I get an urge forvtrea and I can't get one to quench my urge! Early in the morning if I can't get my Cup of tea believbe me I may get mad too! Today having discovered that my brand of Tea was exhausted I had to swith over to different brand and to my urprice I was never got satisfied with it! Then I had to run to market at 7.00 pm which is quite dark here now adays , which is some 14 KMs away from my farm to get my brand of Tea! While driving back I was thinking that if Tea is alsoan addiction like any other vices? What do you feel? Please respond!

Oh yes, very much so. Tea is an addiction which lifts up the spirits instantly. And its healthy too. Like you, whenever I feel bogged down by anything or is just tired, I yearn for a cup of tea. I don’t always get it readymade and sometimes have to go to the kitchen to brew it myself, but I just cant give it a miss. And the luxury of being served tea in bed early in the morning! This is what I look forward to most when I travel. Otherwise at home, no matter how lazy or cold I feel, in the morning the moment I step into the kitchen and brew the leaves, the fresh smell really makes my day.

Yes I feel conception of tea as an addiction because the tea contains nicotine which helps the person who takes the tea to reduce his/her pine in head and also makes it alert. The people who regularly take tea could not stop the tea taking habit as they become addict of tea. More over nicotine is injurious for the health and there for we should avoid to take the tea every time.

Hi,Akrao,I don't think tea is an addition.I will prove it in my own experience. Because I just live and work in another city far away from my family.I just go home several times a year.when I go home I will drink tea more than 6 times for my mom does that too and will feel uneasy without that.but when I am alone here, I can completely forget to drink any tea for several months.see, tea is quite a healthy drink comparing coffee or other carbonated beverage.I'm just curious about that you guys think tea can be an addiction. anyway, have your brand of tea every is pretty good!:)

Well I don't know if it is an addiction or not but I love sweet tea!! I look foward to buy me a tea everyday. Sometimes when I go to buy a tea it is spoiled or just don't taste good. I get so angry because I'm craving a good glass of tea. And I waste my money on it. And I have to get something else. Ooo it makes me so mad.

No,although I am from china and I prefer tea very much, but I would not depend on the tea very much like you. I use the tea when I am sleepy or something is bored.

I generally have coffee first thing in the morning, then a cup of tea later on. I'll drink tea after lunch and supper. It's soothing and I don't know what I would do without it. I suppose that I am addicted to it.

I do not think you are addicted directly to the tea. In my opinion it is probably more of a caffiene than tea addiction.

I think tea can become more of a habit than an addiction. I do notice a difference if I don't have a cup in the morning - I am slower mentally and kind of unfocused. Having said that though, I could probably go most of the day without another cup. I guess it's kind of a habit really especially during the winter months when I seem to drink gallons. As for brand, well that IS an addiction. I can definately notice a difference between my preferred brand and the others I encounter at friends houses and cafes.
